Details about Valencia College Lineman Program
Valencia College is partnering with Orlando Utilities Commission on a new program to train electrical powerline technicians, as utilities in Florida and around the country are facing a growing shortage of utility workers. To develop the program, Valencia College combined OUC's existing curriculum with the power line worker curriculum produced by the National Center for Construction Education & Research. In addition, students will receive financial literacy training, as well as help with interview skills and resume preparation. This program includes earning a CDL.
