Details about Northampton Community College Lineworker Trainee Program
Northampton Community College can Now prepare students for entry level line work in the electrical or telecommunications industries. Qualified workers in this field are in-demand, and this hands-on course is taught by instructors with lineworker experience. This will be a Noncredit program with 375 hours of instruction over a 12-week period. 300 of those hours will include outdoor hands-on experience in the new training area behind Hartzell Technology Hall on the Bethlehem Campus.
Lineman Job Opportunities for Graduates from Northampton Community College Lineworker Trainee Program
After completion of NCC's 12-week program, students will be able to safely and efficiently climb 40' utility poles, construct assemblies while on poles, use a variety of hand tools, and understand the basics of electricity. Successful completion of the 12-week program enables students to become lineworker trainees for local electric and cable companies, where trainees would be required to pass a physical and drug screening.
