Michael Hennesey
All-American Class of 2024
American Lineman College
Mike entered the trade in 2000 as apprentice linemen at Alameda Municipal Power (IBEW 1245) in Alameda, CA. Mike was a phenomenal apprentice and became an awesome journeyman lineman for AMP. Mike stayed for several years before leaving for Clark County PUD in Washington. At Clark PUD, Mike was a lineman and soon after rose through the ranks to become an electrical supervisor overseeing the emergency response department and the troublemen from Clark.
Mike had an opportunity to join Northwest Lineman College in 2006 and was integral in opening the Oroville, CA campus of NLC. He was an instructor, director, and campus president at NLC. Mike opened the Denton, TX, and Florida campuses of NLC. Mike was the twelfth employee and shareholder at NLC. Mike was the president of Alexander Publications and guided the development and sales of the largest outlet for linemen curriculum in the country. Alexander had its best year in sales and customer satisfaction during his tenure. In 2023, Mike branched out to give back to the trade he loves dearly by starting American Lineman College. Mike realized the many barriers to entry for those who want to become a lineman but can't afford the high cost associated with current programs across the country. Mike is a passionate and high-energy leader who loves working with those who want to further their education as apprentice and journeymen linemen.
